Bookie Woogie!
Today we are happy to announce an exiting new venture! We've launched Bookie Woogie, a blog where we review our favorite children's books. Today marks our first review!
Visit Bookie Woogie, and feel free to leave us a comment - let us know you're visiting, what you think of the books, what you think of the reviews... Our plan is to post a new review every Monday. Hope to see you there!

Gracie was experimenting with limited palettes. She made a whole stack of drawings, for each picture using a different 2-color combo. Dad loved this pink and blue one...

2008 must be "Contest Year"!
We all did a happy screaming dance this morning when we saw that Lily won the Haiku contest over at Adam Rex's blog... 180 entries, two top prizes. Congrats Lily! Here's the piece of original art she's won, illustrating the haiku she wrote:
(Tickle Monsters must have been on the brain over here... Dad's got a board book coming out in February...)
Much thanks to Mr. Rex and the Judges!

Packed
It's the 200th post on Chicken Nugget Lemon Tooty! In keeping with tradition, I'll take this centennial post to share more cards from our Family Trading Card Packs. And boy are the packs packed now! Dad had to make bigger cases for everyone -- the old ones were splitting at the seams. Here are a few favorite cards, collected over the years...

Blueberries!
Yep -- Isaac made this by scrubbing blueberry skins across his paper!
(You've heard of the book Blueberries for Sal? Dad thinks we should call this Blueberries for "Sail"!)
