Highly Collectible
It's the 400th post on Chicken Nugget Lemon Tooty! And in sticking with tradition, today I'm sharing just a few cards from our full-to-bursting Packs of Family Trading Cards.
"Family Trading Cards? What are those?" you might ask. Years ago -- 7 or 8 years perhaps -- our family started making our own Trading Cards and swapping them amongst ourselves. And we still do it to this day.
Here's how it works: every so often, Dad cuts up paper into uniform rectangles and hands out 5 or 6 blank cards to each member of the family. The cards can then be filled with anything. Absolutely anything. No rules. All the completed cards get returned to Dad who shuffles them and randomly passes them back out. And the trading begins! It's fun and furious as everyone scrambles to wheel and deal for the day's favorites. It gets quite competitive.
Everyone has their own pack of cards they've collected over the years, all of which by now contain hundreds upon hundreds of cards. They are highly treasured. And it's always fun to shuffle through the collections to see how everyone's drawing skills have developed over the years.
Here is a sampling of recent cards we've created:
by Elijah
by Lily
by Gracie
by Isaac
by Mom
by Dad
This is the 6th time I've shared a peek into our Trading Card packs. If you'd like to see all the Trading Card posts, just click: HERE
